Aristotle has said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. The fierce competition among parents to ensure that their children get high grades has forced of lot of educators to compromise on the depth of life skills and value curriculum. The recent development of CBSE switching to Board Exam Pattern for class X students, has also led schools to believe that focus on life skills may no longer be mandatory since it does not contribute to grades scored by students. This is a warning sign and a fine balance to rectify the same is the need of the hour.
