Principal’s Message

"Waves are inspiring not because they rise and fall. But because each time they rise and fall they never fail to rise again".

With immense pride and great pleasure I welcome you to the school’s website. I hope that this website will provide you with the most up-to-date, relevant & important information.

Our responsibility as educators goes beyond the horizons of mere academics and our school curriculum emphasizes acquisition of knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills. APS, Clement Town assists students to become lifelong learners, be self directed, realistic and responsible decision makers. They are encouraged to appreciate our diverse community by becoming global citizens and develop a healthy respect for the environment. We aim constantly to enhance our students sense of self worth and appreciate their own and others ethnicity, culture and language.

With the ever increasing demand of competitions , fast changing values , pressure of challenging careers and increasing love for materialistic life it has become difficult for the individuals to retain prime values, we are trying to foster courage & kindle optimism to tackle adversities .

Aristotle has said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. The fierce competition among parents to ensure that their children get high grades has forced of lot of educators to compromise on the depth of life skills and value curriculum. The recent development of CBSE switching to Board Exam Pattern for class X students, has also led schools to believe that focus on life skills may no longer be mandatory since it does not contribute to grades scored by students. This is a warning sign and a fine balance to rectify the same is the need of the hour.

With the advent of internet and ease of getting information, becoming social has became a matter of just one click. Nothing is always sunshiny and a wide spectrum of disadvantages swamps educators and parents alike, connected with social networking. Increasing vulnerability to cyber bullying, predatory adults, reduced physical activity and exposure to age inappropriate content have to be tackled.

These are the new age challenges. Nevertheless, where there is a concerned and loving teaching faculty, there is always hope. Our teachers are always balancing academics with co-curricular activities, tempering violence and bullying with warmth and affection and rewarding unkind acts with generosity. This is the true strength of the school that spurs us to keep the faith inspite of all hurdles.
