Balvatika – Pre-Primary Wing

Balvatika is the dedicated pre-primary wing of Army Public School, Clement Town. It offers a joyful, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes holistic development through play-based and activity-oriented learning. Our approach supports each child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.


Our Legacy

Established in 1992 as Golden Key Nursery School, the institution evolved over the years—becoming SAPS in 2006, Golden Key Pre-Primary School in 2011—and is now proudly known as APS Clement Town – Pre-Primary Wing (Balvatika).

Children’s Safety & Security

Safety is our top priority. We ensure a secure environment through:

  • 24×7 CCTV surveillance across the campus

  • Strict no-entry policy (no entry without prior permission)

  • Teachers remain on campus for one hour after student dispersal

  • Two Ayahs permanently stationed at toilets for hygiene and supervision

  • One Ayah accompanies children in each school bus during pick-up and drop

  • Controlled and supervised entry–exit during school hours

  • Child-friendly safety protocols followed at all times

Each level is age-appropriate and designed to meet the developmental needs of young learners.


Curriculum & Activities

Our curriculum follows experiential and play-way methods, including:

  • Language development (stories, rhymes, conversation)

  • Early numeracy skills

  • Art & craft

  • Music and movement

  • Games and physical activities

  • Moral values and good manners

Learning is made engaging with smart classrooms, colourful spaces, and child-friendly teaching aids.


Admission Procedure

Admissions follow Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) guidelines:

  1. Subject to availability of seats

  2. Parents fill the prescribed admission form (available from school office / website)

  3. Informal interaction with child and parents (no written test)

  4. Document verification at the time of admission

Age Criteria (as on 31st March of the academic year):

  • Balvatika – I: 3+ years

  • Balvatika – II: 4+ years

  • Balvatika – III: 5+ years


Documents Required:

  • Birth Certificate (issued by competent authority)

  • Transfer Certificate (if applicable)

  • Aadhaar Card (Child & Parents – if available)

  • Passport-size photographs of the child

  • Service Certificate / Dependent Certificate (for Army personnel)
